"Bike Talk" on Community Radio KVMR 89.5 FM
On Wednesday July 16th @ 1pm PST, join yours truly, and guest, Janelle Black from People Power Transportation for the first edition of "Bike Talk". It will be an hour of open discussion were the listening audience will have the opportunity to call-in and share their personal views, experiences, ideas or opinions, ask questions -- or just listen to what others have to say about anything under the sun that is related to bikes.
Bike Talk's mission is to raise public awareness about subjects and issues related to the bicycle, to help make bicycling a much more approachable and enjoyable experience for everyone, and to hopefully help spur growth of the use of the bicycle as more than just a means of recreation.
This show is rated "E" for everyone who has ever had an experience with a bicycle that they would like to share. Whether you are a bike person or not we would like to hear what you have to say about the topics we discuss on Bike Talk. So please, call in and let us hear what you have to say!
Topics of discussion on 7/16 will be - "the basics of bicycle mechanics and bike setup" -- "bicycle safety and etiquette" - and, "the bike as a means of transportation".
The show will air live on KVMR 89.5 FM (105.1 FM in the Truckee/Tahoe area) and streaming live on kvmr.org

2006 SINGLE SPEED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
8/19/06 - STOCKHOLM SWEDEN - As fate would have it, Sveinung Björköy of Norway rode his Kelly® Deluxe to a 2006 Single Speed World Championship Victory, thus crowning the Kelly® Deluxe a two-time World Champion (2002 & 2006).
"To tell you the truth I was kinda bummed out that we couldn't afford to send Stella and Dorothy to Stockholm, what with all the goings on here at Kelly", company founder and owner Chris Kelly lamented, "so this was indeed a very nice surprise when I heard the news of Sveinung winning on one of our bikes and wearing our colors", Kelly said with a smile. "It's kind of funny how things work out sometimes", he concluded.
Our deepest congratulations and thanks go out to you Sveinung! A job well done!
